A rein­vent­ed tale of ini­ti­a­tion, Dam­as­cus Dreams recounts the quest of Émi­lie, a film­mak­er in search of an inac­ces­si­ble home­land, inter­weav­ing the mem­o­ries of her father, Syr­i­an refugees and her own imagination. 

SYNOPSIS

A reinvented tale of initiation, Damascus Dreams recounts the quest of Émilie Serri, a filmmaker in search of an inaccessible homeland. Interweaving her father's memories, those of Syrian refugees and her own imagination, Émilie composes a country that lies somewhere between myth and reality, dream and nightmare, past and present.
