Christophe Coello
SEE COMPLETE PROFILEThrough his films, Christophe Coello bears witness to various situations of resistance in South America, forgotten or ignored by the mass media (Chili, dans l’ombre du jaguar, Tu n’es pas mort avec toi, Mari Chi Weu, Retour en terre mapuche).
In France, he has worked with Pierre Carles and Stéphane Goxe on a critical project focusing on the issue of work. Together, they produced the documentaries Attention! Danger Travail and Volem rien foutre al païs. The webdocumentary Petites Histoires Populaires is an opportunity for him to share his particular view of Perpignan, where he grew up.

Pierre Carles
SEE COMPLETE PROFILEAfter studying socio-cultural animation and journalism in Bordeaux, Pierre Carles started out as a cameraman at France 3, then as a columnist on Antenne 2. He made his first documentaries for Strip-Tease in 1994, before signing Pas vu, pas pris in 1998, a feature-length film on censorship in the media. A dozen of his films have since been theatrically distributed, including La sociologie est un sport de combat (2001) and Le Rond-point de la colère (2019). His latest film, Guérilla des FARC, l’avenir a une histoire, was released in 2024 after ten years of shooting.

Stéphane Goxe
SEE COMPLETE PROFILEStéphane Goxe, born in 1969, is a director of committed documentaries, often in collaboration with Christophe Coello.
In 1995, Accords de Guerre explored musical creation as a form of resistance among young people in Bosnia.
With Chili, dans l’ombre du jaguar (1998), he reveals the social fractures hidden behind Chile’s economic showcase.
In 1999, Tu n’es pas mort avec toi (You Didn’t Die with You) gave a voice to the children of Argentina’s long-silenced disappeared.
In 2000, his film Mari chi weu, bears witness to the struggle of the Mapuche Indians of Chile, a people whose very existence is directly threatened by an economic rationale that encourages the plundering of natural resources in defiance of all human and ecological considerations?
