The Pickers

The Pickers takes us to the fields of Europe where 1 million migrants harvest the daily fruits and vegetables in more than precarious conditions.

SYNOPSIS

The Pickers explores Europe’s fields, where our fruits and vegetables are harvested. In Southern Italy, Seydou from Mali picks oranges without a contract, paid per crate, living in a camp with no water or electricity. Like him, over a million migrants work across Spain, Greece, and Portugal—often undocumented, underpaid, and exploited. They remain invisible, yet vital to our food supply.
