SYNOPSIS

Amazon ships 14 million parcels a day, dominates the market in five continents and has made owner, Jeff Bezos, the world’s first centi-billionaire. If Bezos has his way, Amazon will become the only company we’ll ever need. The World According to Amazon explores how this monolith controls the distribution of our daily products, the global economy, and the data that defines us. What future Amazon has in store for us ?

After his jour­nal­ism stud­ies in 2010, Thomas Lafarge joined the CAPA agency. He then direct­ed his first doc­u­men­taries for the chan­nel Toute l’His­toire. In 2013, he set up his cam­era in New York and made the doc­u­men­tary Harlem Two Faces. Upon his return, he devot­ed three years to the inves­ti­ga­tion of BNP Paribas, for which he won the INVESTIGATION PRIZE at the FIGRA 2019.
