After his jour­nal­ism stud­ies in 2010, Thomas Lafarge joined the CAPA agency. He then direct­ed his first doc­u­men­taries for the chan­nel Toute l’His­toire. In 2013, he set up his cam­era in New York and made the doc­u­men­tary Harlem Two Faces. Upon his return, he devot­ed three years to the inves­ti­ga­tion of BNP Paribas, for which he won the INVESTIGATION PRIZE at the FIGRA 2019.
