Pierre Carles

After study­ing socio-cul­tur­al ani­ma­tion and jour­nal­ism in Bor­deaux, Pierre Car­les start­ed out as a cam­era­man at France 3, then as a colum­nist on Antenne 2. He made his first doc­u­men­taries for Strip-Tease in 1994, before sign­ing Pas vu, pas pris in 1998, a fea­ture-length film on cen­sor­ship in the media. A dozen of his films have since been the­atri­cal­ly dis­trib­uted, includ­ing La soci­olo­gie est un sport de com­bat (2001) and Le Rond-point de la colère (2019). His lat­est film, Guéril­la des FARC, l’avenir a une his­toire, was released in 2024 after ten years of shooting.
