Annie Deniel
Annie is a film editor and director who has been based in Montreal for over twenty years. With a background in psychology and film directing from ESRA Paris, she brings a sensitive and socially engaged perspective to her work in independent cinema. She has collaborated on numerous documentaries and fiction series, including District 31, L’échappée, and Contre-offre, for production companies such as Les Films de l’Autre, InformAction, and Amalga. Alongside her editing work, she develops her own creative projects, including Steampunk Connection (Fantasia 2019), Place de l’élégance, Le voyage du soldat, and the documentary series Print time, focused on mental health and immigration. Most recently, she directed and edited Voir — Juger — Agir : L’histoire de la JOC au Québec with Funambules Médias, a film that bridges militant memory and social commitment.
