Annie Deniel
With a bachelor’s degree in psychology and trained in film at the École Supérieure de Réalisation Audiovisuelle in Paris, Annie Deniel moved to Montreal in the early 2000s. For more than twenty years, she has been involved in filmmaking, collaborating on the editing of auteur documentaries for renowned production companies such as InformAction and Intuitive Pictures, as well as fiction series with Amalga Production and Encore Production.
In parallel with her work as an editor, she made her first film, J’suis toute mêlée, in 2007, which was broadcast on TV5, followed by Place de l’élégance, Le Voyage du soldat, Print Time, Steampunk Connection, and a series of short documentaries on mental health and immigration. Her works have been presented at numerous international festivals.
Passionate about both small stories and big history, Annie Deniel seeks to convey them through intimate and innovative forms that deeply touch the viewer and invite reflection.
