Olivier D. Asselin

A grad­u­ate of INIS and the Uni­ver­sité du Québec à Mon­tréal, Olivi­er D. Asselin cre­ates works root­ed in socio-polit­i­cal real­i­ty, in both fic­tion and doc­u­men­tary. His vision is embod­ied in short, medi­um and fea­ture-length films, as well as Web series, which he pro­duces, directs, films and/or edits him­self. Sev­er­al of his films have won awards at local and inter­na­tion­al fes­ti­vals. He also teach­es film and is involved in sev­er­al film­mak­ers’ orga­ni­za­tions. He chairs the board of DOC Québec.
