Paul Tom

Paul Tom (Bagages, Un pays de silence) is a film­mak­er spe­cial­iz­ing in ani­mat­ed and doc­u­men­tary films. He his also a pro­fes­sion­al edi­tor, cre­ator of muse­um exhi­bi­tion videos and instruc­tor for cul­tur­al medi­a­tion projects with­in var­i­ous com­mu­ni­ties. Born in a Thai refugee camp of Cam­bo­di­an par­ents, he his par­tic­u­lar­ly inter­est­ed in explor­ing themes relat­ed to the con­struc­tion of self-iden­ti­ty, fam­i­ly rela­tion­ships and the use of silence as a means of com­mu­ni­ca­tion. His short films have been select­ed in over forty inter­na­tion­al festivals.
