Stéphane Goxe, born in 1969, is a direc­tor of com­mit­ted doc­u­men­taries, often in col­lab­o­ra­tion with Christophe Coel­lo.
In 1995, Accords de Guerre explored musi­cal cre­ation as a form of resis­tance among young peo­ple in Bosnia.
With Chili, dans l’om­bre du jaguar (1998), he reveals the social frac­tures hid­den behind Chile’s eco­nom­ic show­case.
In 1999, Tu n’es pas mort avec toi (You Did­n’t Die with You) gave a voice to the chil­dren of Argenti­na’s long-silenced dis­ap­peared.
In 2000, his film Mari chi weu, bears wit­ness to the strug­gle of the Mapuche Indi­ans of Chile, a peo­ple whose very exis­tence is direct­ly threat­ened by an eco­nom­ic ratio­nale that encour­ages the plun­der­ing of nat­ur­al resources in defi­ance of all human and eco­log­i­cal considerations?
