SYNOPSIS
Lise, a woman with a troubled psychiatric history, believes she is the reincarnation of the central character in Munch's painting The Madonna, an obsession she has cultivated for over 30 years. Surprisingly, there are many similarities between her and the painter Edvard Munch, both in their relationship to physical and mental illness and in their mystical and morbid tendencies.
As time passes, the filmmakers, who are also caregivers, accompany Lise and capture her colorful and poetic world, in which beliefs and hallucinations coexist with obsessions, moments of intense emotion, and profound lucidity.
An intimate and poetic journey that will leave no one indifferent.
